DevOps Engineer III

As a DevOps Software Engineer, you’ll be helping Team CRST find ways to improve the lives of our drivers, agents, and driver support teams across the country. From developing new software to administering our best in-class, third-party technologies, CRST Software Engineers play a critical role in ensuring we deliver our promises and drive success.

This position is remote in Atlanta, GA.

Job Description:

As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will design and deliver efficient software products that will improve systems across the company. You will build CI and CD pipelines across the data center and cloud implementations. You will be a great fit if you can independently build, script, monitor, and debug pipelines. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will also experience managing small offshore teams.

This position is a remote role, but there is an expectation to travel to Cedar Rapids, IA quarterly.

Role Responsibilities:

•Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable software delivery pipelines.•Collaborate with developers, quality assurance engineers, Security team and stakeholders to integrate and optimize software delivery workflows, tools and processes into the pipeline•Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) best practices to automate testing, building, and deployment of software.•Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, including server infrastructure, network, and application layers, to ensure high availability, performance, and security.•Implement and maintain cloud / On-Premise infrastructure to support scalable and fault-tolerant applications.•Develop and maintain tools and scripts for automation of development and operational tasks.•Participate in on-call rotations to address critical issues during non-business hours.•Containerize existing Web and API applications. Work on Docker images and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.•develop and deliver scalable and automated services and architecture - Infrastructure as code.•Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch. •Support internal and external customers on multiple platforms •Troubleshoot build and deployment issues across environments. •Monitor and respond to cluster/instance health and security alerts/tools

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 4+ years’ experience in DevOps Engineer role in implementing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipeline.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.

  • Experience in building CI/CD automation pipelines using DevOps Frameworks (Jenkins, AWS pipeline/ Azure DevOps). Docker, Kubernetes

  • Provide support and fix issues related to DevOps and cloud

  • Experience in AWS, Azure, Google cloud

  • Strong knowledge of scripting using Java, JavaScript, Python, Shell, Python, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.

  • Strong experience with Windows/ Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS/Azure.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.

Certifications in relevant technologies and experience with containerization (such as Docker) and orchestration (such as Kubernetes) are also highly desirable.
