About the Opportunity:

Join our dynamic Enterprise DevOps Engineering team as a Senior DevOps Engineer, contributing to the evolution of our innovative Ansible Automation Platform. This role encompasses leadership and individual contributor responsibilities, focusing on the modernization of our internal DevOps products. This is a contract position with potential for long-term engagement.

Job Description:

Support CI/CD Tools:

Drive integration, operations, change management, and maintenance of CI/CD tools.

Tool Standards and Guidelines:

Enhance and establish standards for effective tool usage by internal teams.

Engagement with IT Community:

Interact directly with the internal IT community, providing guidance on optimal tool utilization.

Ownership of Custom DevOps Tools:

Own and enhance custom tools, aiming for a reduction in time to market.

Code Reviews and Innovation:

Conduct software engineering code reviews and contribute to innovative tools, technologies, and frameworks.

Strategic Thinking and Communication:

Think strategically, implement iteratively, and communicate effectively to both internal engineering customers and leadership.

DevOps Team Involvement:

Act as a hands-on member of the DevOps team, guiding and mentoring in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining products and solutions.

Ansible Automation Platform:

Own, support, and maintain Ansible Automation instances used across a large organization.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5+ years in Software Development and Best Practices.
• Worked on an Enterprise/Shared Service DevOps team.
• Significant experience with deploying and administering enterprise-level tools.

Technical Skills:

• Highly skilled in Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Openshift.
• Comfortable with versioning and release strategies using GitHub.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash.

Education:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in a job-related field of study.
